This session will discuss a use case of how Arkansas State University tackles cheating and ID authentication in their large online environment. Participants will be provided valuable insights and practical strategies for enhancing academic honesty in online education. Participants should be able to take away a playbook of how to catch, detail, notify, and various next actions A-State takes. Toni will share how their playbook and use of BioSig-ID for the last 6 years has uncovered countless cheaters. A-State has been a partner with BioSig-ID for 6 years and millions of ID authentications have occurred. But not all of these activities have come from registered students! She will zero in on some academic integrity issues and obstacles to overcome and answer questions from participants.


How do they get the information on these cheaters? First, the students must authenticate their identity using BioSig-ID before accessing course modules to ensure only the registered student is doing the work. Toni will show forensic, and AI-generated reports provided by dedicated SMEs from BioSig-ID that positively identify cheaters and their “trail”. She will define the process of what happens next with her faculty and Deans how they notify students and what usually happens next.

Biometric Signature ID (BSI) is a cybersecurity company that eliminates cheating, identity theft, and fraud. We provide ID authentication assurance for remote access in higher education, defense, real estate, the mortgage industry, and commercial schools.


BSI offers cutting-edge technology that replaces traditional passwords with a written biometric password. Instead of typing a password, students use their finger or mouse to create a unique biometric password. This password is analyzed based on various factors such as length, speed, order, and angles. The written biometric password consists of four characters/letters. We analyze not what is written but how it is written (length, speed, direction, angle etc.).
